Battle of Bosworth Field

I visited Bosworth Battlefield on 22nd August this year which coincidently happened to be the 527th anniversary of that pivotal battle which saw King Richard III die and Henry Tudor take over the Crown of England. The flag pictured above is Richard’s coat of arms which stands at the highest point of the area. The battlefield museum is located in the place thought to be where the battle happened, but recent archeological digs have found that the battle actually took place about two miles away from the flag marker.None the less, the walk around the fields is pleasant and a good way of learning about the battle and the participants.
